Inspired by Guavate
Guavate is a district in the town of Cayey, Puerto Rico. It’s a mountainous, forested area that is very popular among locals and tourists. It is an entire culture dedicated to eating traditional holiday foods, such as Lechon (Roast Pork) and Pavochon (Roast Turkey)
A single road which passes through the town, Highway PR-184, also known as as the “Pork Highway” has many open-air restaurants that specialize in slow-roasted whole pig, as well as traditional sides and appetizers.
Celebrating Puerto Rican Culture through Food
On a mission to find a caterer that provided Hispanic food in the Triangle, we were overwhelmed with recommendations for taco bars and Mexican/Central American Cuisine. While they are amazing choices full of flavor, we were looking for something that hit home for us. With a background in Culinary Arts and Event Management we wanted to bring Traditional Puerto Rican food to the Raleigh area. We specialize in catering for events of any size, family dinners and frozen picadera that can be cooked at home at your convenience.
